• 1/3 of Colorado's children live in low income households (less than 200% of the Federal Poverty Level) •
• 2/3 of low income children are in a racial or ethnic minority family •
• Over 1/3 of the children in Colorado are from a culture other than their provider's •
• Racial and ethnic minorities are the most rapidly growing group of children in Colorado •
• Low income children and minority children have greater difficulty accessing health care and have poorer health outcomes •
